Colossians 3:2 "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth".
How easy is it to forget what actually matters. How easy is it to show affection in all the wrong places. What really is it that we are looking for? How far are we willingly to go?
The verse above admonishes us to set our hearts (affection) on things above and most often than not, our minds straight up goes to our ultimate goal of inhabiting heaven. True. But ain’t joy, peace, patience, love, longsuffering, endurance, preservation, kindness, meekness, mercies, humbleness of mind; things from above.
What truly is it that we are seeking?
Setting our hearts on things above also means to understand the times we are in. It also means to know what truly matters. It also means to discern how far to go with what. Our Journey is not one that promises an easy track but one that offers goodwill.
