The Slingshot Effect

Y’all be ready to get all dirty and sweaty for this cos I am taking you on a ride in my slingshot. We will be dabbling in some fun for this one and that is because for the past two weeks I have been seriously stressed out and had to remind myself to take it easy because sometimes we get so caught up in getting things together that we forget the need to leave certain things undone so ‘you always have something to do’. And before you come for me, like I said, no cat or cats were harmed in the production of this post. Okay. Relax.

Now if you know me, you know there is usually no in-betweens for me. It’s either I am super hyper and all over the place or I am threateningly serious and won’t stop until I break (don’t worry, I don’t break). Because of that my hyper fun moments are constantly driven by adrenaline rush which often leaves me drained and exhausted and that is how I want you to feel after you have practiced what I am about to share with.

I want you to let out all the stress after this, take a breather, shower and go straight to bed (or take a nap in the couch, that works just fine too just make sure you are well postioned to avoid body aches) and then reset.

The Slingshot

Seeing the word probably drove you straight to imagining this,

slingshot

And even though the ideology is the same, when I pictured this crazy routine, my driving force was not this slingshot but another type of slingshot. It is actually a vehicle. You may know it or not. Or you may have probably seen it but didn’t know that it was called a Slingshot.

Polaris Slingshot is the common name. It is a three- wheeled vehicle (I keep saying vehicle because it is niether a car nor a motorcycle) with no doors, roof (at least not the conventional one that we know) and is barely 5 inches above the ground. This right here is what I am talking about.

Polaris Slingshot

It functions just like any other car such that it uses the steering wheel and the gears and the paddles but the Polaris Slingshot is much more thrilling and vibrant and that is because I say so😂 and we are going to adapt a mechanism called the ‘The Slingshot Effect’.

Let do some science for the next ten seconds: The slingshot effect, also known as the light-speed breakaway factor, was a method of time travel through the use of an artificially-created time warp. This maneuver was performed by traveling at an extremely high warp factor towards a massive body with a high gravitational attraction, such as a star (over look the time travel and just focus on the mechanism). In other sense; get a targeted focus to aim at, gather the right amount of momentum and velocity then speed towards the focus.

Good let’s get dirty.

  1. Get you a helmet because you will most definitely be needing one if you are riding the slingshot like me. And don’t worry I got you covered. So you have this whether you know it or not and that is ‘Don’t think about anything or anyone’ helmet. See you have it.
  2. Let’s get our target focus and that is exhaustion. We are driving straight towards you not being able to feel your limbs and body parts anymore.
  3. Now we need our momentum or velocity. This is where it gets fun. Search for a high beat up tempo song or /s that you just can’t resist the urge to move to and put on repeat.
  4. Now that you are all set we are going to speed towards our star.
  5. For the next 30-90minutes, do all the crazy workout routines you have or the dances routines you know or do like me and just move your body where ever it chooses to go while singing the lyrics out (basically just feel).

If you did it just right then trust me you will get knocked out by the fortieth minute (for a high energy person like me usually you sign out by the 75th minute). But hey if you keep longer too it’s fine. All we want is exhaustion.

And that ladies and gentlemen is ‘The slingshot effect’
